I've heard the Japanese dub version of MLPFIM is getting a lot of notice. If you ask me, I think the show would fit right in with a lot of Japanese works, you know, because of the cuteness, the Animesque style, and the fact that it appeals to multiple demographics and not just the target demographic.

The voices seem to be good picks for the most part. I would have given Applejack a Kansai-accented voice, because Kansai is treated as the country contrasted to Tokyo's city. Rainbow Dash sounds boyish, but that suits the character. Fluttershy sounds quiet, cute, and feminine, which is in character. Pinkie Pie sounds like a hyper little kid on helium...but that's exactly her. Rarity does sound like a high-class noblewoman. Twilight Sparkle sounds she's speaking in a polite, standard way.

You know who would be the perfect choice for a Japanese Discord? Ryusei Nakao (Freezer of Dragon Ball Z), that's who!
