Given that the cast is almost entirely female it would be almost impossible for yuri elements to not be there.

Personally, I'd want it to be something along the lines of Yotsuba&! or AzumangaDaioh. Just get Kiyohiko Azuma to write it and we're golden.

Go read the two series I linked. They're Slice of Life things that can get pretty similar to some of the stuff the ponies do.
