I dunno. Our world isn't particularly open to oddities like flying ponies living in them. Rainbow Dash wouldn't have much of a chance to be free or do anything but live undercover with her adoptive dad for the rest of her life.
On the other hand, yeah, what the fuck was Celestia thinking, not bringing him to Equestria? It's not like the government would come take him away and do experiments on him. Maybe if the universe asplodes if anyone spends too much time in the wrong place?

Nothing better. Nothing worse.
What episodes did the Renzetti guy write?
Tick Tock, goes the clock/ He cradled and he rocked her/ Tick Tock, goes the clock/Till River kills the Doctor.
I should have been asleep five hours ago! Now y'all made me go read this thing!
Well,
of course it's sad that Dashie had to go, and that Bob (can I call him Bob, for convenience? I don't remember him having a name) couldn't go to Equestria with her, but he became a better person for having experienced what he had. At the start, he was a broken, empty shell of a man. By the end, it looked like he could start living his life again, maybe pick a glimmering star to reach out for. As heart-rending
* (I'm not sure why I keep using that instead of just "heartbreaking")
as the denouement was, I personally consider this firmly on the side of a happy ending.
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...

Rob Renzetti is (was :( ) Story Editor of MLPFIM not writer.
They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.
Is this true? ED says it's still a rumor.

Until ED actually changes their post to have it be confirmed, I will not believe this.
Implying that you can experience true sadness from a pointlessly depressing fic.
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...
Depressing things never depress me too long, so I'm fine with reading them. ^_^
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...
"Who?"
...
You people disgust me. Rob Renzetti was the dude who created
My Life as a Teenage Robot, and the 2nd half the brain trust behind this show along with Lauren.
Along with a few short cartoons he did in the past, Renzetti's been known for strong female characters, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's one of the reasons our favorite ponies are so likeable.
If he's gone, who knows how well season 3 will hold up. ;_;
"Although I laugh and I act like a clown, beneath this mask I am wearing a frown."
How would you define pointlessly depressing?
Something that tries to be a tearjerker, but ends up trying too hard and just becomes ineffectual.

So I'm back. Any word on Ginger showing his dad the show?
