Hey, she's a new princess. She hasn't had time to get herself a set of guard ponies yet.

So based on that trailer, I still think the setup is kind of dumb, but I feel like there's enough charm in the little moments like Twi trying to gallop as a human that it should be entertaining.

@Crow: I'm with you there. I don't really have any high hopes for the plot itself, but the character moments, jokes and such are going to be the lifeblood of the movie the same way they are of the show.

I'm 8ad, and that's good. I will never 8e good, and that's not 8ad. 8ecause there's no one I'd rather 8e... than me.

Agreed. What' i've seen, stroywise it looks like it'll be pretty decent. Concept.. still hate. Few things I hope they address.

Twi being to old to be in High School. Making clear the real mane 6 are NOT teenagers

Yes, all of these. I also want to know whats up with Sunset. The first trailer had pictures of her as a human going back several years at least, but now she's just strolling into Equestria to steal a crown like it's nothing. Did she run away to Earth years ago or something? How does she know to come back for the Element of Magic crown? And if she stole it, why did she then put it up as a prize for a school contest instead of just keeping it?

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Twi BS her way through registration.

Showing the actaul registration, sure skip it. Explaining how the hell she is able to wander around the school without being enrolled, that needs to be addressed, given she has no paperwork, no history, no parents, nothing to actually use to enroll. Her ass should be tossed out the instant any teacher or staff realizes she shouldn't be there.

The only thing that lets me even think there might be a reason is it's the "Fall Formal" so probably takes place early enough in the school year that she can just kind of blend in with all the new students.

Since there are analogues to the rest of the mane 6 at the school, it's possible that there's already a Twilight equivalent who left for some reason, and Pony!Twilight is pretending to be her.

Which would answer the question of how the hell Twi is going to be in any other EQG things when she has to return to Equestria.

Would also a lot of questions about Sunset Shimmer. If there was a version of her there. And Pony!Shimmer replaced her/is in league with her.

This whole thing kind of bugs me because now the ponies are aware of humans. It kind of undermines the whole separate constructed fantasy world it's got going on, even if just a little. Humans just make it a little less Immersive if that makes sense.

@Dark: That's why I hope they keep the worlds apart. When you have a Constructed World, I'd rather it not be connected back to the "real" world.
