I would imagine they're fairly clean, what with the pellets and all. Just pick it up and toss it out what, once a day? I'm not sure if they defecate aside from those.

They probably do. The pellets are mostly just fur and bones. Anyway, I think Tank or Gummy would be lowest maintenance.

On another note, is this thread always so fast?

It used to be several times faster.

Well it's not like I have any experience writing, but my advice would be to start writing something which you intentionally say to yourself is completel crap and you're just going to delete afterwards. That way your apprehension is lowered so you can actually get started.
