Same here, Applelight. I'm one of those narcs that refuses to even tolerate drugs after what they did to my best friend in middle school.

Most of my friends from High School are or were druggies. I went to high school in a small town, and Small Town Syndrome is pretty damn accurate. In fact, out of the all of two friends who didn't do drugs one of them also wound up moving out to Vancouver like I did to study art and animation.

A lot my friends were pretty heavy drinkers all in all. They've smartened up a bit now, but in high school we used to go out to "socialize". And by socialize, I mean drink themselves under the table and being too busy either puking or being incoherent to actually engage in the social talking part.

This is related to why visiting Manitoba gets more and more awkward for me every year, I think.

My college roommates were only annoying at worst. The most crap I had to put up was with one of the deciding that 2 in the morning was the perfect time to bring his buddies in to watch a movie.

Drugs can be manageable if it's nothing stronger than Zanax, but most people in my experience have poor constitutions anyway and go overboard.

I take a bit of reccreational stuff sometimes, but nothing more crazy than pot.

So I'm back after a couple things over the weekend. Just in time for me to see we're talking about friends and drugs, I see. Friends, I still have my old classmates, so that's that. Drugs...I have to say I'm more inexperienced than anyone in that respect. Can't even stand beer, and anything on, I stay away. Dunno why.
