There's a lot of visual gags: even aside from recontextualizing canon scenes, there's a lot of silly scene transition inserts and weird subtitles (and Scootaloo is completely incomprehensible without the subtitles). I'd be happy to transcribe that stuff for you if you're still interested (as if I need an excuse to watch the whole thing again).
