Been a longer while since I set hoof in here.

Finally watched the whole Season 3. Thoughts so far:

• King Sombra was pretty badass.
• Discord's change is something I consider weird and hardly believable. That being said, glad we saw more of him.
• The final episode could have been easily expanded into a two-parter.
• Princess Twilight... hm. Can't say I have an opinion on her. I mean, what's left for her after she became an alicorn?
• More Luna which pleased me greatly.

All in all, not quite the level of previous two seasons, but I liked it enough to consider entertaining.

When is Season 4 supposed to start airing again?

That pretty much sums up the majority opinions. Sombra had some good potential, but needed more screen time and better execution. That said he was badass and by far the most competent and smartest villain yet.

The finalle should have been a two parter, and was originally planned as one but had to be shortened for budget reasons.

Twilacorn.. well we'll see after season 4. But there is still TONS for her to do, this opened up so many new stories about her learning to deal with being a Princess, what it means, being a ruler, while still staying with her friends, yeah I'm looking forward to it.

Overall, just as good as the last two seasons, just shorter. And not till 'winter'

Well...

I think someone here mentioned that he'd like to see an episode about Scootaloo, where she learns she will never fly because of some degeneration of her wings and must cope with that.

I assume change into an alicorn affects one's aging. We could see an episode where Twilight learns accepting the fact that her old friends and family wither and die while she still keeps going on.

Doubt we will see something like that in motion, but it seems like a nice potential.

As for Sombra, I think he was executed rather nicely, although could still use some screentime. He was more of a presence than a character, but a presence powerful enough to be a reason while the whole two-parter was taking place.
