What would ponies put in sandwiches anyway? They can't eat meat, so would they just have different layers of vegetables? Why not just eat the vegetables without the bread?

@JT: Apparently they put flowers on them, since daisy and daffodil sandwiches are a thing. I imagine they're basically salads stuffed between some bread. As for why, because bread is delicious.
