Does anyone else miss Rainbow Dash and Applejack's rivalry? Fall Weather Friends was one of my favorite episodes from season 1, but they never picked back up on that subject again. There were actually a lot of things like that in season 1... Any plot threads y'all wish they'd revisit?

I want a freaking re-do of the pilot episodes. Nightmare Moon is one of the best character concepts of all time, and they wasted her.

I can't be too sad though, because a ton of amazing fanfics came out of that idea. Whenever the show wastes potential, the community picks it up and mother-fudging runs with it.

I think the show and fandom are symbiotic at this point. But IMO, the pilots can be forgiven because they're pilots and that's when the writers aren't settled in yet.

And always the chance for a flashback episode showing Luna's fall

They could always bring her back like they did in the comics. It'd be great for the show to actually explore what made her change like that, particularly since it's been implied she was in some way corrupted by an outside source.

Hmm. I'm not sure they could do a flashback episode showing Luna's fall. That's a lot more dark and dramatic than I think they're willing to take the show. The wedding episodes would be nothing compared to that.

Maybe showing that it was Celestia's fault, and that's why she became the Big Good - To prevent another Luna.

Or they could have a different character fall to the same power. Y'know, just like in the comics.

The two of them were already collectively the Big Good by that point though.

Presumably to give Ashley Ball a break. I wish we had more varied interactions. In the early episodes we had the characters bouncing off each other more whereas it feels like the Mane Six are starting to jell into groups unless they're on a quest of some sort. Also more Rarity episodes would be welcome.

Heh, that reminds me, my friend had a white pegasus OC who he had prominently on display on his Deviantart. The colour scheme makes him look a bit like Shining Armor. After the wedding episodes, he suddenly got people accusing him of ripping off Shining, despite upload dates and all that.

Similarly, one of my older fics shares some ideas with the current comic arc. I wonder, if people were to actually read it today if I'd be accused of the same thing.

I agree, relationship episodes. Stop ignoring Rarity (aka, the most interesting mare in the world), maybe something to breathe a little bit of life back into Applejack too.

Perhaps that explains why Friendship is Magic Part 1 and the Cutie Mark Chronicles are some of my favorite episodes. Not that they need to cram everypony in one episode, but all the Mane Six were reacting to each other and showing their personalities come together.

The epic level adventures ensure the Mane Six comes together for an episode, but the goal often overshadows the character interaction.

Also more low-fantasy plots. I like the idea of Equestria being filled tons of unique magical objects and areas that aren't already mentioned. It gives the feeling that there's it's a big world out there and there's plenty of places to go exploring.
