It doesn't help that when people make fun of g3, they usually show the worst parts. Anyone seen the Gumdrop House surprise thing?

Of course to most bronies, g3 is only known for 'Rainbow Dash always dresses in style'.

So, I decided to download Paint Tool SAI just to see what all the hullabaloo was about.

Here is what I achieved after about 20-30 minutes of work.

Maybe it's because I've worked with Photoshop so long, but I felt like once I got the tools straight I basically understood it perfectly. I may have to get a license for this, because holy crap.

Well TBH I don't think G3 was that bad. It Needs More Love IMO, but it's wasn't as bad a people make it out to be. Even G3.5 proved to be cute sometimes (Key word being sometimes).

However I do want to see Starsong, Toola-Roola and especially Minty in FiM.

@Kuroi you taking about A Very Minty Christmas? I remember seeing that one Christmas once, don't remember finishing it though.

Well I'm back. As for things that frighten me a bit, spiders, scorpions, and ticks. Centipedes are pretty cool though. Especially house centipedes. And I may be daft here, but who the heck are Sparkleface and Butterbean? Besides those ponies, I mean, are they a fan thing or what?

As a recently converted G3 fan myself, I think it gets too much hate. It actually had quite a few self-aware moments, some loveably querky characters especially Minty, and pretty all around decent music.

Edit: Speaking of, I can't stand dogs. A very few are kind of cute, but way too jumpy and loud for me. Much more a cat person.

Gets a little irritating whenever I keep being asked if I have a guide dog or not. Now a guide pony on the other hoof...

@Kuroi I think I've seen that tumblr.

@dark I just think that it So Okay Its Average. Also I don;t think they hate G3 per se but G3.5 (I think the designs are rather cute, but can fall into the Uncanny Valley at times [especially if juxtaposed with the G4-rendered ponies]. Also I like that Cheerilee has Girlish Pigtails in that version)

So the Rarity micro-series was fun. The artwork was cute. The hippie ponies were so great. Spike was wonderfully jerkish. And Rarity sleeps with a photo of Applejack next to her bed for no apparent reason.

My faves are Minty, Patch, Fizzy, and Wind Whistler.

Who it might be worth mentioning even has some likes among those that can't stand the cartoon, but still watch for her general lamp shading and applying fridge logic in most of her speaking lines.
