Question: Does anypony have any writing/drawing music? As in something to put in the background as you work?
Well I've got a playlist of 189 tracks, mostly videogame music, but I play that all the time when I'm on the computer, not specifically while writing or drawing. I avoid music with lyrics though, since it tends to be more distracting. You don't want music that you'll actually notice.
@Dark: I can't really suggest much other than that I find music with lyrics distracting. Sometimes when I'm writing while listening to singing I'll start typing the lyrics out.
You shouldn't listen to music with lyrics then. Duh.

I listen to The Pussycat Dolls when I write. The vapidity of the lyrics and repetitiveness of the beat serve me well.

OK, this KH song is now making me sad rather than inspired. Thanks man.

That does make me curious now. Are there any osts with good instrumental tracks? I've heard Final Fantasy's very good, but I never got around to playing them before I lost my sight.

A potentially touchy subject but...religion in FIM. How might it work?
I don't believe Celestia is a god btw...not in the sense that we think of them. If anything...she might be more like the Pope. She's both the head of state for Equestria and the head of it's religion, if they have one.

I've got quite a few songs from games I've never even played in my library. As far as Final Fantasy I have Electric de Chocobo (VII) and Ending Theme (X), though the last one is a little mediocre.
The big one of course that everyone always praises is One Winged Angel, but that has singing.

@darkabomination: the Arkhamseries and the KH games come to mind. some of the more recentSonicgames have pretty good soundtracks as well.

If it's chanting or quire-based, it's fine.
It was only until recently that I learned where the trope name even came from.
And Sonic is always good in the music department. I was a major fanboy when I was younger and still keep up with the soundtracks even I can no longer play them. I'm playing this as we speak.

I hate all things 7. Give me 8 any day. Some good music in 8.
The madness is catching.

The Final Fantasy series does have some excellent music. I'd recommend hitting up the awesome music page for the series and finding some stuff you like.
@Applelight: My take on religion in Equestria is that they don't have any deities (that we know of, at least), but the presence of nigh-omnipotent artifacts like the Elements of Harmony and the Crystal Heart serve as starting points for their ethics. It helps that the cosmology of the setting itself seems to encourage love and care for others. Still, outside of that, there's really no point of reference for what their religion might be like; the show is obviously not going to discuss it.
@Dark: The Final Fantasy series does indeed have a lot of really awesome music. 7-10 in particular are pretty great.

7-10?
I do believe you forgot 6. And 12.
By the way, one little trick to alleviate some of the cleanup-despair when cooking is to clean up as you go. Rinse out bowls and spoons and stuff while you're waiting for water to boil, or letting something cook in between flipping it. If you just sort of get into a groove, you can usually end up with a small number of dishes at the end of it all.
I have a message from another time...

Your exclusion of six is borderline blasphemous.
This is generally how I handle things. There's usually a few minutes here and there where you're waiting for something to cook that's great for cleaning a few things.

And this is why it needs a nice re-release. Hopefully, FFV iOS means that VI iOS will be around the orner, with better sound quality.
Official remixes are also great.
