To make things worse, the Ministry of Defense deemed that due to failure that was the Fourth Battle of Canterlot, the training must be even tougher.

Application forms explicitly state that the training program will not be responsible for any injury of death.

They were performing experiments with self-regenerating cake strata, from what I hear. One of the higher-ups thought that burrowing through something like that was a good physical test.

Obviously, that officer was fired.

Wait, no.

They fired at him.

I imagine Blueblood took the training specifically, thinking even if he failed he'd at least get pretty damn far...

I wonder what inspired him to take the leap? Hard to imagine.

I'm back and I see we are still in the weird place.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

Most applicants drop out during the third month's Nightmare Nine.

What is Nightmare Nine? Well, it is a nine days of training...while being fully equipped, which weighs around 100 pounds....without any sleep.

I simple cannot imagine him passing anything like that.

Wouldn't not sleeping for nine days... kill you? Like, literally kill you?

Because I know two days without and you're drunk, at the very least.

Navy Seals have something similar called the Hell Week, and that is exactly what it is; a whole week of training with no sleep.

Not to mention I heard Iron Will's dusting off his old uniform and returning as a drill SGT. If the sleep deprivation doesn't get them first, he will.

@Roy: Wait, only 100 pounds? Did you seriously underestimate how much an average pony's strength?
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

@Orion - It may sound like it, but you wouldn't be able to imagine how heavy they become over time.

I also forgot to mention that you will be made to carry more loads as training goes, so by the end you could well be carrying 300 pounds of equipments.

I find that really hard to believe.

Like, bare minimum sleep, sure. I get that. But I seriously doubt they'd be kept fully awake for a week on end.

#355093 from Andromeda Galaxy
@Roy: That may be, but an average pony can lift well above 100 pounds.

@kegisak - Whether you believe it or not, that is what they are doing.

@Orion - There is a difference between just lifting something and carrying them for days. Or you know, maybe you can try it out yourself.

Huh. Are you sure this here is the same Blueblood? Because this stallion sounds like a real go-getter.

Which has also been known to sometimes kill trainees.

So, Blueblood joined Officer School.

I bet the other recruits are going to love him.

Hay AJ. How heavy does an average load of apples get?
