Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

@Steven - According to an article published by Arch Eon, a professor of professor from Canterlot Academy, there seems to be a suspicious lack of mention of the term "queen" in historic archives. He suggests that the term was intentionally erased by record keepers for some reason.

I will eat my 'God Job' cookie. Queens are evil dont'cha know.
OK. Most queens.
Oh, no! They've all transformed into giant, Swedish, lederhosen-clad yodelers! Run!

@edvedd - I asked five professors of archeology and history and they all said that there is no mention of any postive achievements by anyone with a title of queen.
Or was the last queen simply the loser?

@story - I've seen at least one expert offering that view. I personally am not a supporter, though.
@JT - I attempted to ask her about it. After her coronation, however, the bureaucratic process involved in gaining her audience became much more complex and timeconsuming. We will have to hope for her showing herself in her own terms.

I think it's worth noting that royal titles seem to be assigned differently over there - for example, it was noted that the inspector for the Equestrian Games had 'probably met a lot of princes'. Despite the fact that the games are most like held solely in Equestria, which we know to be a single country in a whole world. In order for her to have met 'a lot' of them, they'd need to have a smaller regional authority than our princes. It's likely they're more akin to Dukes, which makes them comparable to provincial premiers in Canada. That is to say, the chief of a province of the kingdom.
With that in mind, Princess very well may be the chief authority in Equestrian, and may have always been. In actual horse herds the chief stallion(Usually the only stallion) is a protector, while the alpha mare is the real leader of the herd. With that in mind it might be pertinent in Equestrian society to make it known that, while head males and head female(s) are in different roles, they're roughly equal, and therefore assigning roles that have inherently more power than another is unwise. A king beats a queen, and a queen beats a prince, but a prince and princess are on pretty much the same level.

The Crystal Empire was a Kingdom once, so we can assume they had a benevolent queen and/or king.
I have a message from another time...

I...okay, I still can't believe my ears, but here I go.
Prince Blueblood has entered Royal Guards Officer Candidate School.
Apparently he wants to "Get off his flank and actually do something with himself."
I...he has to be joking.

I mean...good for him, but RGOCS is a 16 months of Training from Hell where typically only 1 out of 60 applicants make it.
Interestingly enough, Blueblood Sr. was a captain of Royal Guards as well. Perhaps that has to do with something.

Evidently the trip to Aloa did him some good. They say that 'travel' can expand one's mind, after all.

I did an extra research and apparently last year four applicants actually died, with varied causes like drowning, falling off of cliffs, collapsing from heat, and suffocated with cake. The last one is a little bit questionable, though.
