Fuck.

Proofs.

And apparently real mathematicians use proofs a whole lot differently.

@JT: I dunno, Dash does call AJ on the jokes. Whether it's just her being sour or not, I dunno. As for the psychological thing, I did consider that - like I said, it might have been psychosomatic. In the end I think that's the more likely reason, but I think the whole last scene was just kinda confusing in terms of what it was going for. non-committal, I think; you could see what you wanted to in it. Not that that's bad, just... eh. Not my thing.

Exactly.

In short, math sucks.

So now that that's done, can we please change the topic? I'm an engineer in training and even I got sick of it.
Oh, the thread? Don't worry, it's just dead.

@Apple: I think the concept is okay, but I'm not sure how well it fits the character. Bowl cuts generally aren't considered that stylish.

Hypnotic.

Ew.
That's my dream. It's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight razor … and surviving.

For non-interested people, math is horridly tedious, filled with pointless and impractical grindings. Then mathematicians say, we just need to get to the good part and soldier through.

Well, fuck that shit.

If it takes years to get to the good part, I'd rather pick a subject that interests me right away.

That's all I have to say on this matter and I refuse to speak further on it.

@DJ - No, pick something else.

@ JT

I'm trying to make batty a bit more socially awkward and eccentric, and when I say bowl cut I think I'm misinterpreting what sort of style it is I'm referring to. I better go have a look for examples.

@d Roy: No. God no. Anything but that.

I meant to share this yesterday, when it was relevant.

But yeah, this is me with Sombra.

I took them off. I was about to go to sleep.

And they're too awesome to be put onto digital media.

The problem isn't that it takes years to get to the good part, the problem is that math education never presents the good part (at least not until long after non mathematicains have been weeded out). I think it's like most subjects where mandatory education only makes you hate it.

[up]Heh. I just love this fandoms attitude. "Why? Because we can, muthafuckas! That's the only reason we have, and the only reason we'll ever need!"

I mean, really, why else would you put Octavia in a Steven Seagal movie?

@kegisak: Fun fact: that gothy pony is based on a G3 toy; specifically, the 2011 Special Edition Pony from San Diego Comic-Con 2011.
