And yeah, if Cadance has a bloodline match, she's totally the Crystal Kingdom Anastasia, only not horribly murdered by Bolsheviks. I need to hunt that book down and read it too.

Yeah, Cadance's backstory as explained in The Crystal Heart Spell is that prior to being a princess, she was an orphaned pegasus found and raised by an earth pony village. Thus, she has no known blood relatives, simply being adopted as a niece by Celestia after her ascension at a rather young age.
