You jest, it was a decent enough episode, also fruitbats and Shooting Star parents.

It wasn't bad, but it was excruciatingly dull.

Oh, and you mean DEAD parents who are deader than dead. They are dead, by the way.

I slept on it, and I think that the cursing needs brought way way down. It doesn't fit in with the mood I'm trying to create in this comic. In fact, it could be funnier if I used good substitutes for the swears.

I know what you mean. Yes, Luffy is the biggest eejit in the universe. But that whole thing of having an idiot as the lead in Shonen is so over saturated I think I could make a name for this by avoiding it. I use that term because the term overdone is unfair. There's nothing actually wrong with it per say. I just think it would be good to try something different.

In hindsight, despite the big fuss I kicked up about AFR, it wasn't that bad, but still rather disappointing for the first AJ centric episode in a long while. I think AJ is the character the show has most problems writing, and struggles conveying more reserved and lucid characters in a manner that doesn't equal more boring.

Twilight and RD ended up stealing the show for Season Three, more or less like they did with the previous two. They seem to have a very clear direction they want to take with them, which I suppose is hardly a bad thing.

My big problem with AFR is that it shows AJ can't carry an episode. Even when she's the focus, at best she can mildy incoveinence people.

Whatever she tries, Twilight does it much more amusingly and destructively.

So Crazy Twi fans are in for a treat this season 4?

Maybe by the end of the series every M6 will be alicorns. Hooah!

I would agree, but she had previously proved she had star power in early episodes like Applebuck Season (the very first individual limelight episode in the series for that matter), albeit maybe due to a bit of Characterization Marches On, and AJ being much more Hot Blooded and short fused in the first few episodes.

I can latch onto a dull character obsessively if they even once shown a spark of prominent personality.
