So I jsut saw the episode.

What the hell did I just see?

It was a lot of fun I admit but Pinkie Pie was freaking scary. And watching her hair go straight just scared me even more. It was definitely a good character episode I admit but I always got the impression throughout the entire thing that the mane cast were almost more afraid of Pinkie than they were trying very hard to keep a secret. I mean it just starts creating thoughts like: "What sort of hold does she have over them?" or "Are they aware of her reality bending powers and afraid that if they upset her too much she'll destroy everything?" or "Has she killed before?"

They were definitely afraid of her (I had a real giggle at Fluttershy actually falling over from Pinkie screaming at the party). You'd * be pretty terrified if a normally happy Reality Warper pony was pissed at you.

Pinkie is very expressive anyway. All of her emotions are very strong.

This was pretty good episode. Crazy Pinky Pie was pretty enjoyable to watch, and it's nice to see her get some character development, even if it is near the end of the season. Also, I have to agree with the sentiment that Pinkie looks great with her hair straight.

Also, the Season Finale is in less then a week!

I hope the next season brings better promotion and a better timeslot.

[up][up][up] No!!! I need my Pony fix! I really don't think I could handle the withdraw symptoms!

Also, this latest episode disturbed me a little, especially Pinkie Pie's expression when she was serving tea to her 'friends'.

I'm gonna have some nightmares...

But kidding aside, Pinkie Pie certainly has gained some depth as a character. She was actually my least favorite of the main cast (mostly thanks to "Feeling Pinkie Keen") but after this and a few more recent episodes, I can identify with her much more.

I found Pinkie's breakdown creepy as well, but that was why I liked it so much.

I like creepiness sometimes.
Loves horses and her boyfriend too

I'm going to dissent on the opinion of Pinkie's hair style. While I will admit that it's not a bad look for her and has a certain charm to it, I much prefer her usual curly look. It's a much better fit for her when she's not flat-out bat-sith insane.

Though the fact that her straight-haired look has a rather depressing association to it might have something to do with it, too.

It's kinda weird. Her standard poofy hair looks more crazy than the straight-down look. I can associate it with nothing but woobieness.

I loved Gummy. The only one with less of a handle on reality than Pinkie Pie herself.

Although I can just see him putting on a tiny fedora and going out to fight crime. "Where's Gummy?"
"Aren't you cold, Finn?"

I really didn't find this Pinkie to be murderous, more like she just decided to not have anything to do the other ponies anymore.

Pinkie is always pretty crazy. Except normally she is a hyper active type crazy, instead of creepy shut in type of crazy.

Also, her creepymode muted colours were practically an Uncanny Valley compared to her surroundings and her normal state.

I find it interesting that it's only season 1 and already we've had two episodes in which a major character snaps hard (the other being "Suited For Success").
