I have no idea what Durkon's is. The symbol of whatever his patron deity is? (I forget which deity in particular.)

That's it. There's many variations of the engravings I think but the general shape is the same with all.

Post of the Day #316

@Sereg: I dunno, lol. Personally I like to think they spent the wedding night sleeping off the stress from the day's events, then the next morning before they could leave for the honeymoon, Mrs Sparkle mortified the two of them by publicly demanding grandchildren They then had a very happy honeymoon, and spent most of their travel time walking funny

The obvious joke is that Shining Armor uses protection.

Well I doubt they'll address an issue like that in the show.

Well the concept of infertility and fertility treatments could still be used. Zecora certainly alluded to it with rooster viagara back in Cutie Pox.

@Ace No... She really didn't. People just want to interpret it that way because... I don't know.

The closest the show has ever come to that kind of joke was the bit about Pony Genetics in Baby Cakes.

Certainly the genetics behind pony coat colours and race are a muddy issue.

I have no doubt that Noble family ponies whose ancestors may have suscribed to common aristocratic practices/prejudices would be almost "pureblooded" of their own race, but I expect even by modern standards that there are an increasing number of mixed-blood ponies in modern Equestria.

As to no royal baby. Well if they are enough like horses that mare's go into heat, then they would simply have to avoid doing anything risky at that time to avoid a kid until they were ready for one.

Though, I do see a kid in the future, and hen the group learns Cadance is pregnant, que the "Where do foals come from" questions from the CMC. Hilarity Ensues

I still think it's Getting Crap Past the Radar. I mean how can you look at it and not see the possible interperation? It makes more sense than a literal interpertation anyway.

@Perpetual: I have a hard time believing that they weren't aware of how it could be taken. Whether or not it was intentionally Getting Crap Past the Radar is debatable, but there's no way those lines got through the entire staff without anyone noticing the innuendo. It's the same thing as Twilight's cursed horn. It makes sense outside the innuendo-laden context, but even so it's kinda hard to deny that they were fully unaware of how it might be taken.

@JT People can read into line all they want, that's fine. It's just annoying when people take said out-of-context interpretations and reapply them to the canon as fact, such as when Ace said that Zecora was "certainly" alluding to it.
