It's actually really good. I was expecting ti to be kinda so-so, but it was a lot of fun, and The Wicked Witch of the West is hella hammy and awesome to watch.

Are we talking about Wizard of Oz now? When I was little I remember watching The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz. It covered four books in the series and was by far the most faithful adaptation of the original Wizard of Oz book. Much much more faithful than any other adaptation out there. Does anyone remember this show?

You use Monopoly as a roleplaying game?

Gotta make it fun somehow.

New on Monopoly! Now you, too, can play as the race car after becoming bankrupt, having to live paycheck to paycheck!

Hey kegisak, I thought you might be interested to read this part of Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell:
"I have herded more clouds today than all you slowpokes put together!" Rainbow Dash shouted at the other Pegasi. "My skills are second to nopony!"
"If you're so good, Rainbow Crash, why don't you help out the rest of us?" a big stallion named Hoops shouted back. His cutie mark was three basketballs.
Looks like that Fan Nickname is now official

That, or coincidentally the same. :V
And it's a lucky thing, because that sentimental stuff doesn't suit you at all.

I thought Hoops lived in Cloudsdale.

Hoops is in the novel too? Its just full of cameos ain't it?

...We gonna make a page for it? I mean, I know its not out yet and there are totally not photos of entire chapters uploaded to Derpibooru and such... Literature/My Little Pony: Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell is quite the mouthful for a tropes work page, can we cut it down to just The Crystal Heart Spell or something? At least make a few redirects?

@JT: Naw, Hoops lives in Manehattan!

That said, that is pretty cool, actually. Thanks for pointing it out, Whatsis!

@Calnos: Perhaps there should be a multi-book page, since My Little Pony: Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell and My Little Pony: Pinkie Pie and the Rockin' Ponypalooza Party! are the first two books (by the same author) in the same series...maybe it should even be a page for the Tie-In Novels in general, in order to cover My Little Pony: Under the Sparkling Sea and any other Expanded Universe books?

@kegisak: You're welcome!

Well you could use it to teach people about probability and Markov Chains.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

I read the scanned pages on Derpibooru. I wouldn't reveal too much about the book save that it does manage to capture the tone of the show and there are a few Shout Outs and name puns along with a cameo by an unnamed muffin-loving pegasus.

I would suggest keeping all of the MLP:FIM books on one page unless the series manages to be almost as popular as the show itself.

Every time a fairy says that it doesn't believe in humans, a human child dies.

A series page sounds good, seeing as the novels look like they'll be pretty short relatively speaking, though what would we call such a page? My Little Pony Little Brown Books (the publisher)? My Little Pony Berrow? My Little Pony G4 Novels?

Under the Sparkling Sea, being a picture book, is a slightly different format and may be odd being on the same page as normal novels. Granted, the Expanded Universe characters page is currently set up to cover all EU characters, but that's mostly because there aren't enough Canon Foreigners (and people contributing to that page) to warrant splitting it yet.

...Come to think of it, didn't a few months ago someone say they were gonna make a G4 franchise page similar to the Transformers: Generation 1 page, and we basically said "Wait until there's more Expanded Universe stuff"? Well then, I guess the time may have come for that...

I vote for having one book for all the literature stuff unless one of them ends up being big enough to merit splitting. It's easier to keep track of it that way.

Which page would the storybooks that're adaptations of show episodes belong on, since their stories are the show's but their medium isn't?

I wouldn't bother with the "adaptations" of the show episodes since most of them are very bare-bones and just use copy & paste vector art. Under the Sparkling Sea is unique at the moment as it has original artwork and is telling a new story, and we currently don't know if they intend to do more story books like that. If they do a series of storybooks with original art & stories we can probably make a G4 Storybooks page and make the presumably-made-by-then Under the Sparkling Sea page a redirect.

There's also the matter of those... interactive storybook app things... do we have a namespace for that kind of thing? Do we even need a page for them? Hasbro did Transformers Prime interactive storybook apps, and I don't think we have a page for them...

Either way, My Little Pony G4 Novels sounds good to me. Quick and to the point.

@Orion; We Wiki Curators are discussing what to do with the upcoming Tie in Novels and how to structure the Expanded Universe pages. We're working! Sort of! We're not being paid enough...or at all really.

I think there have been a small number of copy & paste vector art storybooks telling new stories, like My Little Pony: Adventures in Canterlot Storybook: Festival of Friendship (haven't gotten to read it, but here's Barnes & Noble's overview of its digital version: "The ponies enter a competition in Canterlot together and help each other through all the hiccups they encounter along the way. They do not win, but they are thankful for their friendship.")
