@storyyeller: Not a "role playing game" in the typical sense, but I very rarely play it where I play as myself. I think it's more fun to play it as other characters, and it's probably because I grew up doing that, where I would play games (either with someone or by myself) and play various characters' parts. I pretty much grew up playing character roleplay in general (not just with board games, but with acting out characters), sometimes by myself and often with my dad. Of course, that doesn't really work with a game where one needs to keep certain things secret, but it works for something like Monopoly fairly well. Even Calvin from
Calvin And Hobbes does that too, although he ends up getting in fights with Hobbes and cursing.
@Pykrete: Yeah, he is. He's definitely not the type to be embarrassed about that kind of thing, and he's also the main person I watch
My Little Pony episodes with if I'm going to watch it with someone (I've shown my mom some of the episodes too but she tends to be more busy), so he's also pretty familiar with the characters. I'm very lucky to be friends with both of my parents (which is why even when I get a job, I would still probably want to keep living with them so far as I know right now), and every time I read about other people having bad family relations here, it serves to remind me even more of how lucky I am.
I guess the fact that I'm close to my family is yet another way that I'm similar to Applejack, along with the fact that I think that the element of Honesty fits me best because of my blunt honesty.
