Ponies get a natural +2 to charisma at the very least, I think, so it ain't too low.

You know what a Wizard's charisma is? Charm Person. Or Friendly Face if you don't want to risk a failed save

I always thought using unicorn magic was Charisma-based. Twilight must have had it all along, she just used it to shove people away so she could focus on studying.

I think unicorn magic is probably based in Cha, too, at least the innate spells that most unicorns use for their daily lives. Twilight doesn't quite fit in, since she uses books to learn spells (Wizard) and then can cast them at will (Sorcerer).

Cute! Also, reminds me of the first Harry Potter book and how Hermione Granger was upset because she couldn't learn how to fly on a broomstick just by reading out of a book.
