It was a humanized straight shota pic of Rumble and Zecora. Apparently UK law says that's forbidden material, but since I hadn't been informed of that, The Smiling Pony just up and gave me a ban without warning. I tried to apologize, but he said no. Then, after I commented a few times as a BP questioning the length of my ban, I got hit with another ban.

The gorillaz aren't bad, but I prefer Deltron 3030 AKA Del Tha Funky Homosapien.

Dude, you got your ban extended by way of ban evasion, according to what you just said.

Apparently he changed the reason for my ban. Now it's just for uploading humanized shotacon.

To be fair, shotacon seems to be illegal everywhere except the USA and Japan now.

@ROTHY: Given that hosting that sort of material could get the site in legal trouble, it's not that surprising they have a zero tolerance rule against it. Heck "Don't upload underage human porn" is like one of only 3 rules they have regarding what content is allowed, and on a site built to host image, checking the content guidelines is the first thing you should do before uploading anything. Can't really comment on the extension, although it might have been for continuing to post under another name or something.

TL;DR it's still only a temp-ban and not worth stirring shit up over.

Sum up: 1-day ban for shotacon, 1-week ban for ban evasion, both claimed to be done by accident.

Yeah, they could have handled it better, but I can understand why they would take a hard line.

Last night, someone posted a great pic on "that site", but only tagged it with the artist name and "safe". I added a couple of tags and politely asked the uploader to tag correctly. His reply was, "Why work for what I can get for free?" In other words, others always add the tags for him.

I looked into his other (massive) uploads, spanning months. Turns out that he's never done more than tag his uploads with "safe" and the artist name. No characters in the pic. Nothing that would make the picture searchable unless you know the artist's name. The mods now know. He'll either take 30 seconds (give or take) to tag, or get banned.

Okay, I have no idea what Smiling's e-mail is. If someone could throw me a link, I'd appreciate it.

Kinda in the middle of IRC, trying to clear this up with Smiling, but not doing so good.

At this point, I'd say just drop it for now. Ask again tomorrow if you have to, but just go ahead and let it go for now, wait out the ban, and just keep things in mind for the future.
