I always wonder how the bodies of god like beings work.

In Discord's case: Is his body super tough? Does he have to be focusing on something in order to counter it? Does he feel pain? What were to happen if I snuck up behind Discord and stabbed him in the back of the head?

That's what I mean. If he knew I was coming then he'd be able to do that, but what if he was taken completely by surprise? Or are his chaotic powers instinctual and activate even when he isn't concentrating?

That's the thing. The Princesses are probably Made of Iron by their very nature, but a being like the Dragon Emperor could probably ruin their day fairly hard if he wanted to. Discord, on the other hand, appears able to No Sell anything simply by being the avatar of Chaos.

...Maybe he'd be injured if you did... whatever it is Pinkie Pie does

to him.

Yeah, I don't know. Maybe if you caught him unawares you could hurt him, but if I had as much power as he did I would have some sort of defense up constantly. Just a passive 'turn projectiles into sheep' shield or something.
