My theory is that changelings don't actually have holes in their body. They straddle a line between dimensions, and the parts of their body in that other dimension just aren't visible to us.

It could work, since the requirement is that Steve is further away from the Elements of Harmony. Notice how he went from directly influencing events in S1, when I was still developing him, to merely observing them on the Moon in S3...

In S2, he lost control of events and just went along for the ride.

Well that involved being kidnapped by the True Fey and tortured in Arcadia until you escape at which point you have to try to find your place in a society that no longer accepts you. So probably not the best plan.

Okay, my actual opinion, because that was just a way to round off the whole Prison arc.

This finale didn't have as much punch as S2. While it is a bit unfair to compare an invasion with an ascension, I still gotta. S1 Finale was just solidifying the whole friendship thing with ruining a party.

While I did like the episode, it did feel a bit weaker than S2. Then again, I liked that one because of the invasion theme, as well as the concept of love being used as a weapon. Plus, Second-Best Princess was introduced. She was first, by the way, but now Twilight's there.

We can only hope that S4 is something on a planetary scale!

Now remember when I first joined the fandom, it was like three weeks before S3, so I was rushing?

I don't have to rush anymore! I've actually caught up.

But now I get to witness the long wait!

At least the pony fandom doesn't go quite as crazy between seasons as the Homestucks do when they have to wait for an update. I think?

Well Homestucks usually don't have to wait as long. Though I usually wait at least several weeks in between checking Homestuck so I don't have to constantly read new updates.

@Meta: That's only because we've been making an effort to stay on topic. Also, we can't troll Mousa with maybe!spoilers in this thread.

Well, it's already been confirmed by the writers that the season 4 premier will be about answering the questions left by the finale, and Twilight learning to deal with her new powers and responsibility/duties.
