To respond to something that was mentioned earlier, I don't think that pony society is ranked by race, like having unicorns be a higher class than pegasi and then having Earth ponies at the bottom like second-class citizens. It may have been somewhat like that in the time period that the Hearth's Warming Eve play is set in, but that play was showing how bad things USED to be, and that the three types of ponies worked together as equals to form what is current Equestria.

Anyway, if Earth ponies were treated in a similar way to marginalized races in real life, we wouldn't have cases like Cheerilee and the Mayor both being Earth ponies in positions of authority. And discounting the Canterlot snobs (which is pretty much a city of unicorns anyway, so they've got unicorns in manual labor jobs like the poor bellhop in that same episode), most of the wealthy snob ponies in the show are Earth ponies such as Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon and Hoity Toity. I looked it up, and Photo Finish is also an Earth pony. So not all Earth ponies are manual laborers, farmers and bakers anymore, nor are all unicorns necessarily on Twilight's level (Snips and Snails are another example).

I also have my headcanon that any race of pony could be the element of magic. In this case it just happens to be a unicorn.

As much as I like Minty (And i honestly would careless for G3 if is wasn't for the fact that her, Toola-Roola, and Starsong weren't/aren't in Fi M at all [save for a cameo in Sonic Rainboom and one of the toys for Starsong and Minty respectively]) this post seemed like a Non Sequiter who are you answering?

Mostly the rainbow broken dynamic thing. Since Minty's green and Rarity and her share the same VA, I figured it would be the closest fit. Though she's more like G4 Pinkie in personality than anything else.

But Green isn't Rarity's colour.

Tactile manipulation of clouds is pegasus magic. Rapid plant growth is earth pony magic. Heart's Desire and Poison Joke is some crazy-weird nature magic.
