@psi: I saw a page where one of her generals gets actual dialogue, and the changelings themselves seem to have touches of personality as well.

Sounds like it's making for some good development, more like a conventional hero vs villain genre. I think the show needed more developed antagonists, ones that don't Face Turn straight afterwards anyway.

I knew that Changelings weren't a hivemind. That furthers my idea that there are probably Changelings who don't want to be predatory, and are possibly looking into other methods... when the queen isn't watching them, of course.

In Issue #3 there's a pair of Changelings with unique armor that talk to and laugh with Chrysalis (the issue is mostly from the Changeling Point of View, the Changeling commanders are giving Chrysalis field reports of the Mane Six's journey to their kingdom). They're basically Mook Lieutenants, the green-armored one I like. He's cool. Its hinted he's not interested in revenge and just wants to rebuild the Changeling forces.

@Psi: What Lurker said, plus she just gets more time to develop her personality than the 7 or so minutes the episode gave her. Basically it just expands on what we knew about her and is really entertaining about it. Her explicit motivation is getting back at Twilight for ruining her Canterlot plans.

@Red: Yeah, there's even a sort of Gory Discretion Shot where animals are fighting and Fluttershy watches on with interest while everyone else is horrified.

covers

that include the rest of the Mane Six.

My point is cowboy hats are apparently evil cause its missing from the first three Cover A's for the next Story Arc. Does Amy Mebberson have a thing against AJ's hat?

But no seriously, Rarity possibly becoming Nightmare Moon in the comics. I don't know how they'd pull that off, but I'm excited to see what they do with the whole new Nightmare Moon thing anyways.

Yeah the comics are SO awesome. Everything is damn near perfect

not THE NMM it's some other pony close to the mane 6 taking on the title NMM. Legacy Character style. No clue on how so, if it's some force that took over luna taking over another pony, or just a pony going nuts and wanting to take over as NMM.

I just like the fact that the comic is taking one-shot villains and expanding on them. Hopefully they'll do more of that and we'll get arcs based on other oneshots like the Diamond Dogs or Gilda.

I kinda like the Moon Stuck idea of bat ponies living on the moon.

It's odd that the Moonstuck bat ponies also end up being Luna's night guards in Slice of Life, because Luna was gone for a thousand years after that. Different execution, same characters I guess.
