One wonders how we will pass the time until the fall (when the next season will likely begin). I guess it'll be roughly split between art dumps, aimless silly discussions, fanworks, and maybe a little speculation and analysis of the previous seasons. . .it's really going to get dull around here.

I also worry that this Black Bless might be too powerful and competent to be a starter villian. Even as the leader of the organisation.

Then again...I do want to establish my crew as a bunch of badasses destined to shake the world...

MLP seems to be a little light to include discusision of the triple goddess of the righteous dead.

@Applelight: For my original work, I wanted to avoid Sorting Algorithm of Evil, so I had The Dragon be the very first enemy faced in the book. But he pretty obviously dominates the heros in every fight he's in until the climax (and even then, he's still incredibly dangerous). It's a combination of luck and the better part of valour that he doesn't Total Party Kill every time they fight him. As one of the people who have read part of it says, he's effectively a living nuke.

Here's an idea...Black Bless could be upgraded to a pirate queen. And they don't encounter her until way later, but because they fuck up her Lime Key operations, she puts a hit out on the captain. So basically every pirate crew and other nasties will dog them throughout their voyage.

And I mean an actual hit...

She could be recurring Big Bad the crew comes close to capturing, but she always manages to get away in the end, either by cunning or dumb luck.

Yeah. And there was a trend in old cartoons to have a big bad sitting on a throne sending goons/monsters/traps at the Heroes every week. I can't remember any specific ones, but it was a thing, and maybe I could do that.

I do want this to be like those old cartoons after all.

Right, she wouldn't engage our heroes directly in battle all the time. She'd just as likely send out some pirate henchmen. When she does engage in battle, though, she's more than a match for the good guys.

Come to think of it, during the cheerleading sequence in Games Ponies Play, the Mane 6 (minus Rarity) pulled a group bed eyes that are intentional for once.
