Regardless of what they do, if they want to make another game they have to start over from the ground up (unless they plan on using 4 legged characters).

I don't claim to know the implementations of the game, but I think that particular change is as simple as using a different set of sprites and hitboxes.

I can't attempt to point you in her direction.

Though that would be kind of cool if it could turn into the first release of MWATGG. At least Lauran's seeming sympathetic if not supporative, that's really more than you could ask from a creator, by all rites they should bring this to court.

Not really. All the movesets and animations are based on the Mane 6. You could have recolored Lawyer Friendly Cameos of the Mane 6, but you can't just swap out all the characters without mostly rewriting the game.

You know what? Buck it, I don't care who knows anymore. There's no shame in having superfine flanks and knowing how to move 'em. Allow me to set the record straight: The crystal ponies did not "choose an emperor" by way of a "dance contest". It was just an ordinary dance, and my dancing was so bucking awesome that everypony present declared their eternal fealty right there. And one of them just happened to be the King. He took one look at me shaking my moneymaker, and he broke down in tears and abdicated the throne.

And that's how the Crystal Empire was made.

In all likelihood I wouldn't have played Fighting Is Magic and I probably won't play any hypothetical other game from Mane6, but I really do hope they're able to take Faust up on her offer and put something out.
