I don't know where you're getting information, I've heard basically nothing about season 4 aside from the fact that its happening.

I saw some meme sites saying they trademarked someting like "equestria 'dolls'" and that would mean... uh... Lyra being very happy.

Given that the "Equestria Girls" song thing was first used back before season 2, I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Latest podcast of the Brony Show. Lot of not so good talk, of the, "I know something, but can't say it" type, and the ones saying it, have had information like that before. One is friends with Sibsy, and another has a lot of friends in Hasbro's legal department. And had been the biggest source of information about the con-ban before it was lifted.

And again. Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I worry about EVERYTHING!

A while back, there was a reddit post (which I'm starting to believe is no more noteworthy than 4chan) by someone claiming to work on the show (like so many others before) after the the Alicorn Twilight poster showed up. It basically boiled down to saying the Season 3 finale is being done solely for toys, no one likes it, we'll never get back Derpy, and that something even more awful is coming in Season 4.

Basically, easy to manufacture doom-and-gloom rumor.

And then comes the "Equestria Girls" trademark which apparently is for "dolls". Pony dolls are usually marked separately apparently and people are assuming this means one thing.

Humans in Equestria.

Now, considering the toyline deviates from the show a lot anyways even with the big "episode toylines" like Royal Wedding, Crystal Empire, and even the new Season 3 finale toys we've seen (Twilight is getting ANOTHER car!), the toyline people might just be saying "screw it, lets make some Mane Six as Human dolls!"

I will say that suddenly introducing Humans is probably too much, since ya know there aren't any humans to begin with in Equestria. In fact there haven't been any humans hanging out with ponies since G1. I like to think Hasbro knows better in that they know people watch My Little Pony to for ponies.

I think I would accept it under a few conditions.

• Dan Vs. Ponies. Pinkie/Dan is practically The Hub's OTP.
• They, somehow, bring back Megan and the associated episode(s) is choke full of Mythology Gags

Really if they are planning on making MLP Human toys, I'm thinking its just some Humanized Mane Six dolls because who ever runs the toyline can't think of any good toy ideas concerning a show with Loads and Loads of Characters...

Humanized ponies are a HUGE part of the fandom works. I don't see any reason to be surprised if Hasbro wants to makes some official humanized merchandise.

I don't expect to see humans in the show though.

Also, I feel compelled to point out that in regard to the infamous Reddit post, the one aspect of it that was unambiguously confirmed had been floating around the fandom since before that post was made. Of the other claims it made, one could go either way (again, there were already rumors of Derpy being taken out of S3 after the Last Roundup incident), but there's no way to confirm the specifics the post claims. Basically, it took rumors that sounded vaguely plausible and stated them as fact and just got lucky.

Personally I think the "Equestria girls" toyline would be anthropomorphized and to a degree or become Kenomomimi if they go the humanization route.

Antro Mane Six Dolls, didn't think of that. They'd still be kinda ponies, and be humanoid enough to be dolls, and they wouldn't be Barbie ripoffs.

Really, I think the last thing anyone wants is Hasbro to turn the MLP toys into Barbie clones (not saying anything's wrong with Barbie, just ya know, the point of My Little Pony is PONIES)

People pirate everything, and Bronies are not excluded from being part of people.

As for the rumours, it's silly to judge something that's based on unofficial sources. As for the interviews, it could just be the people are nervous about accidentally saying something they shouldn't because people are pestering them about stuff that's under NDA. Again.

EDIT: Yes, but as per industry standard, some of the higher ups took deferred salaries in order to make the product the best it could be.

Like the Disney Princess dolls? Seriously the fact that Matell makes both that toyline and Barbie is the Main reason I thought that "Disney buys Hasbro" rumor was BS (That and the fact that they just bought out Lucasarts)
