It's supposed to be set at the same time as the show, right? 'Cause you were considering having your crew stop at Ponyville and meet the mane six? If so, a bit of Antiquated Linguistics would be cool, but exactly copying the writing style of Robinson Crusoe (or other period works) would feel kind of weird. FIM is kind of an Anachronism Stew universe, yet (as "Luna Eclipsed" shows) the only changes to the language in the past 1000 years were the end of the royal "we" and the you/thou distinction.

I figure they probably won't redeem Chrys soon since they did it already with Discord.

By the way, does anyone happen to know where I can find a good pciture of a disguised spy next to what they're disguised as? So far this◊ is the only thing that turned up.

The "thing with Chrysalis" in the comics is that she is continuing to be a nasty villain. Long story short, she wants revenge on Twilight and is enacting an elaborate plan to drain her of her magic.

Issue #3 comes out this Wednesday!

I'm kind of hoping if they bring the changelings back into the main show, that they do something a bit more ambiguous. I think the best part about the Trixie and Discord bits was that they both ended on a pretty clear and honest feeling that it wasn't that blithely simple, but things are at least on a promising path, and a little forgiveness can go a long way even if it's not easy or obviously warranted yet.

With the changelings you have a megalomaniac queen and an entire nation of unknown casus belli behind her, as well as a rather more considerable web of ill as far as the main characters are concerned. That's not the sort of thing that even lends itself to Saturday-morning simplicity.

Because of The Best Night Ever, which I read twice now, my perception of Blueblood has became far more positive. I guess that fanfic's picture of him is my headcanon image of him now.

Well, the preview for Issue #3 sorta has a new Changeling character, though he might just be a Mook Lieutenant that's just there for Chrysalis to talk to. Still he seems more interested in getting the Changelings back on their hooves than revenge.
