Whilst I have been thinking about this for months, this is the first time I've actually had the time and space to truly do it, what with work, Uni, family and room redecorating coming first. So really...I've only truly been working on it for about...a week and a half?

That's not too bad I guess. But...I get the feeling that I'm starting to become a bit of a joke around here.

Mio recommends that I try out a simpler story before I try out this main one. I think he's right. I need to work out my kinks.

In better news, I have a decent starting idea.

The hero (from Trottingham) getting betrayed and washing up in the Lime Keys, and having to recruit a new crew from among the inhabitants, who are all 'odd' by mainland Equestrian standards. And they earn a Letter Of Marque to go retrace Barnacle The Great's grand voyage around the world. But how and why he's betrayed, and how they earn the Letter is still not decided.

I'll continue to work at this whilst drawing.

I'll get there...one day.

And hey, I know I annoy you guys with all of this, and for that I'm sorry. In the past I could have worked this out with friends but, they aren't here to do that anymore. And I don't think I could talk about ponies with them anyway.

Why don't you try drawing a simple test comic first? That way you can avoid endlessly agonizing over the story and just make something people can give feedback on, and then use that to improve your real comic.
