In regards to that .gif I posted last page, it's just one of those things that will probably not make anyone's 'best part of the episode' list, but it's a tiny incidental moment that gives the show so much character.

I like the idea of pony (science) fiction containing things like tanks and war.

I also like the idea of humans being mythical creatures in their world, but that probably won't ever happen either.
