I've been wondering recently if I'm supposed to be hearing sound with some of these Derpibooru clips (especially after reading some comments that seem to suggest others are hearing sound.) It is still just pictures and silent gifs, right?

thesis are usually for doctorates, not masters.

I think for doctorates, they're called dissertations.

I had to write and defend a thesis for my masters degree.

And, since today is apparently National Jump To Conclusions Day...

Masters level = dissertation.

Doctorate level = thesis

But dissertations are colloquilly reffered to as theses or min-theses anyway.

My dissertation was 147 pages long and I've helped out with one that dwarfed that though. So the "mini" part isn't always accurate. Note: Star Swirl's title wasn't intentionally reffering to that.
