The author condemns "objectifying" the characters in the show, which is odd, because I don't think it's necessarily wrong to "objectify" purely fictional characters. I especially don't think it's wrong for pony sites to be big tents that don't shun people for "objectifying" purely fictional characters. The whole thing strikes me as closed-minded.

@Kegisak: On the commentary for Show Stoppers, someone commented on how we never see Scootaloo's family when Nicole Oliver said something along the lines of "Well, actually she's Celestia's-" only to get cut off by everybody else going "THEY AREN'T SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT"

1. It's Cracked, who the fuck cares? it's not even on of the staff writers, just some random schmuck that thinks they are funny

2. Even with the comment, it just proves the guy who wrote it is a close minded idiot and should be ignored

3. If you want to find it, you WILL find it online. Though I do feel bad for Fi W getting caught in the crossfire, but that is more do to youtube's idiocy and hatred for anyone that doesn't have 'inc.' in their name. Then any blame on Hasbro. Even what Hasbro can be blamed for. most of it is NOT because they want to do it. But they have to do to the byzantine, horrid, clusterfuck that is US Trademark law.

Actually, the Fi W takedowns are because they're using long, unmodified bits of footage from the show, which triggers the Content ID system and auto-flags it for a takedown. Once it's flagged, they have to prove that what they're doing isn't copyright infringement, and just about any Abridged Series would have to fight n uphill battle in that situation due to the fact that straight-up using unmodified footage from the show is a huge no-no, even for a parody, so it would almost certainly lose a fair use case.
