So first we have the seven dragon-Derpys, and now we have a Ditzy Dozen? Just how many of her are there?

Well, there's the red, blue, and purple mane Derpys in "Winter Wrap Up", Raindrops, filly Derpy, Changeling Derpy, Spider-Derpy...well damn, there really is a lot of Derpy!

@Syd She had to, though, otherwise everything she had been planning up to that point would have been for nothing, and Applejack's home would have still been destroyed. Even once she took the necklace off, she was still in control, because she still had the last step to perform to perform so convince Discord that Friendship was more important than his destructive desires: She had to show him what it was like to lose a friend.

She could have taken her element back at any time and turned him back to stone after he broke his promise. If she had, though, she would have lost her moral high ground. It would have been her betraying him, not the other way around. He had to get exactly what he wanted, and see that it wasn't worth the pain it caused.

There wouldn't actually be 12 of them.

Was anyone taken back by how 'wise' Flutters came across ultimately?

A good way I guess. This meek little pegasus who's afraid of her own shadow is so good at understanding people.

I don't know if I'd call her wise so much. Honestly she's kind of lucky things worked out. If Discord had no interest in friendship at all things would have been pretty bad.

I don't see what that has to do with it... unless maybe it has something to do with being common traits of introspective people.

I was surprised that she hardly flinched at the thought of reforming Discord, when she was terrified at the mere thought of going into the Everfree Forest in Magic Duel.

Then again, her timidness was taken Up to Eleven in MD.

To be fair, everyone's scared of the Everfree. (And it's not a sentient thing that you can talk to.)

I wonder if it would have worked with Gilda.

If Discord can be redeemed, I'm sure Gilda can.

She was also pretty scared of Luna despite knowing for a fact that she was reformed. But I guess that could be chalked up to her being unusually antsy because of Nightmare Night.
