Regarding the discussion about making the show an hour long, I said before and I'll say again— I'd rather have a story that maybe feels like it ends abruptly than one that plods along because they wrote a bunch of material to pad stuff out when they didn't have enough good material for a proper story.

24 hours later and I'm still charmed by the latest episode. Yeah, I think it's a "well done" from me though I do think that Q's VA being Discord may have a big part for why I prefer Discord to become one of the good guys (most of the time).

I'm all for worldbuilding. But in a 22-minute format, if that's what you want to do, then you better be prepared to dedicate the entire episode to it. You can hardly fit deep characterization, intricate plot and elaborate worldbuilding in such a tiny space.

Finally saw Keep Calm and Flutter On. I liked it. Some points:

I like how Rainbow Dash is fast enough to basically act as a text message service for the mane six.
I have to question what Mayor Mare thought about Discord being in her town.
I loved Discord's reluctant Title Drop.
I hope they explain why Discord can't just be used as a plot fixer in future episodes. Canterlot is being invaded by changelings again? Discord could just snap his fingers and turn them all into chocolate croissants.
