Lopiny: It's not that simple in the corporate world. There's contracts to fulfill and the publishers get antsy if there's too many delays. To be able afford that luxury, you basically have to be something as massive as Blizzard or Valve.

And yet Blizzard has been fucking up left and right on that front, rushing stuff, implementing just horrid, HORID ideas without testing, yeah they are going downhill FAST.

So far their only IP they haven't screwed up is Starcraft.

Teeth: Haha, yea. I used to try to game on a 28.8k modem (Red Alert FTW!). Never could finish a game because someone would always call on the phone.

I later had to return to using a 56k modem, even though I had decent broadband, because I couldn't find the broadband adaptor for the Dreamcast and was obsessed with Phantasy Star Online.

yeah i never had a computer till long after those issues went away.

Yeah D3 was horrible, the always online and the Real money AH are getting their asses sued left and right, and World of Warcraft....yikes.

I used to be totally fine with taking 5 minutes for a 1-2KB e-mail to download from the server. Now it annoys me if Steam wants to spend 5 minutes downloading patches (although now I just leave it on during the day so it can patch while I'm at work).

I don't know which was worse with dial-up: the missed calls, or getting disconnected from the internet because my dial-up service would inexplicably decide, "This call will go through."

@Kyler: Well, there are many many ways to make a magitek computer :V The easiest way is to use "electronics" only the resistors and transistors and capacitors are made of different materials.
