I've never heard the term "walkalator" either. I just call them moving sidewalks. The things that move you approximately 0.00318 MPH faster than if you were walking under your own power.

Y'know what?

I'm going to stop trying to match the shows style in my own work. I should work to create my own. The official comics featuring the Changlings have a unique style different from the show and that still works.

And two other things...Glanco makes us all look bad with his awesome skills...and I'm going to try out some advice given to me by JT, and draw the comic proper in black and white. For not only would it help speed things up, it would give it that 'manga' look.

cutefic :3

@Apple: Going monochrome? Tip: Manga typically uses greyscale screen tones (magnify any manga you own to see this). If you want to keep it simple, go greyscale or stark black and white, although the latter can get tricky if your positive/negative spacing is wonky.

Why would grayscale save work? You still have to color thigns in with a lot of different shades of gray.

@Yeller: Because you don't have to rotate the tones to match the appropriate direction it should flow. At least you can cheat with Speed Lines by using a custom brush effect.

Absolutely, you should create your own style. This way, you won't have to worry about being faithful to the show, and you're free to try whatever you think works. smile

Glanco's style is like the one used in W.I.T.C.H. only a little less animesque.

Don't most artists usually develop their own style over time anyway?

@ story

Yes. What I mean is, I'm going to work towards achieving that faster, rather than doing the shows.

[up]Typical artist trick. One part of the hair will be transparent so you can see the eye.

Walkalators? I have no fear of them, but I actually can walk faster than them, so I don't use them.

Ah, those things. I've seen them at supermarkets, where they're actually useful due to the shopping carts.
