An artist getting mad after 40 minutes? That's ridiculous. Most people are lucky to even get a single visitor in 40 minutes.

Something tells me that Roleplaying Tumblrs are a bad idea to begin with, because you're mixing the stringent requirements of good roleplaying with the nastiness that is the general tumblrverse.

not really, she's pretty much the only one I've met that's really just plan, WTF! Most of the rest. Well at least the ones I RP with are pretty damn good and overall pretty damn nice and friendly.

@Seraph Okay, not telling between OOC and IC is just plain dumb, and is a catalyst for all sorts of trouble.

@Lurker As long as they can keep mod and character blog separated I'm fine. I don't want misguided moral crusades messing with the experience.

This is why I don't usually mess much with tumblr outside of a handful of good ask blogs. Between the drama and the fact that I'm not a fan of the format (Seriously, would it kill them to have some method of indexing posts so I don't have to Archive Binge to find my place in the thing?) it just isn't worth the trouble a lot of the time.

@ JT, there is if the person running the blog tags their posts right. And other then that thing with the RD RP'er never really had any drama in our group. Well OOC drama

Funny how just one troublesome mod can cause so much trouble. I remember that guy with the HOLYFUCKWHY dark backstory I mentioned also embarked on moral crusades against porn, using the same RP account. Either that, or the same OC got two stupid mods.

@Seraphem: I know there are ways to do it, but a lot of mods don't bother to use it, and it's still not exactly intuitive. In general I find tumblr is good for liveblog type stuff, but not that great for hosting a comic.

Yeah requires you and the mod to really know what they are doing. pretty good for Rp's though, other then the *(&^&%&^#$%^&*

And yeah other then her, no real issues and she stopped once everyone else told her to either stop it or leave.

Eh, I just love the community. yeah the majority of the Tumblr is rather toxic. but that doesn't really extend to the Tumblr-pon RP section. Though not a good place to wonder if you don't like NSFW.

I wouldn't know what makes a good or bad RP'er.

I was following one tumblr that started out with a great premise (Rarity as a vampony), then went to shit as soon as an incredibly flat and boring "mentor" vampony was introduced. It's now on indefinite hiatus.

Oh, and it didn't help that much of the dialogue was too dark and very difficult to read.

Yeah, it's distressing the number of blogs that start out good, but go to crap quickly. Especially the ones that go from interesting characters to more and more OOC posts about the mod's stuff, and eventually devolves into a bunch of "I swear I'll update eventually" posts. It's also kind of a pain when they do giant crossover arcs with other blogs that I really don't care much about. I forget which one it was, but there was one blog that was really interesting... until it spent about a month doing a Mega Crossover with a bunch of other blogs that made no sense unless you followed all of them as well. I mean, I'm all for the occasion Shout Out, but most of the time I just don't care about crossover stuff that lasts for more than one or two posts.
