I was thinking of applying the same sort of thing to Batty. Basically, any pony who can look past the bat wings, glow in the dark cat eyes, fangs and little tufts on his ears might think to themselves wow...he's hunky.

This is a perfect example of looking past the blue skin, glowing eyes, etc.

Green and Space are not specifically required for Green-Skinned Space Babe.

So then, would anyone now object to my idea of ship teasing Batty with Fluttershy when the two eventually meet way down the line? It will require a decent plot reason though.

Now that is a very good point I grant you. As is the one raised by Red. I can only answer them as thus:

Batty and Flutters won't end up together. The general idea is that it won't progress beyond ship teasing. Batty will first of all be temporarily stunned when he first meets her, act unusually adorkable around Fluttershy, get red faced and defensive if his friends suggest any such thing, and Flutters too might make one or two little cues here and there too. But that's about it.

...OK, she might give him a peck on the cheek as they part ways, before running off grinning.

Oh OK lol.

I don't know though...this might be a bit too risky. Batty already worries me over his borderline Marty Sue appearance, never mind this bonding with canon characters.
