Bluh. This thing is taking me longer than I anticipated, but I want to make sure it looks good by the time I finish. I've got the lines done for 3 of the 6, at least, though that's not quite halfway done because I haven't done any of the various props yet. Still, I think I should be on track to finish before New Year's.

On that note, WHY DID I MAKE MYSELF DRAW RARITY'S MANE AND TAIL WHEN I KNEW I WAS JUST GOING TO COVER THEM UP ALKJASDLKHGJKLASHDJKAH.

True, Sweetie Belle goes anywhere between an Extreme Doormat, a Bratty Half-Pint, a Genius Ditz or just an average Ditz. Some traits may make for a developed character if managed together but mostly they just make them feel interchangable. Applebloom is the nearest to having a distinct personality, though not by that much.

There's also Scootaloo's anti hugging thing in CMC.

Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

Again Scootaloo can be a tom boy one minute or just as sentimental and pleasant as the other girls the next. I get Depending on the Writer plays a lot into making a character, but I don't really see enough of the traits gelling together to make it work for any of them (eg. Twilight Sparkle has a rather erratic personality, but we see some of her traits used in unison enough that she seems like she has at least some sort of consistant personality).

And only this fandom could place admiting you're a brony on par with coming out of the closet.

What do you expect from the CMC? They're preteens, their personality won't completely solidify just yet.

Sweetie's starting to become something like her sister, Applebloom is the one who gets impatient to grow up the most (she's the one who gets into trouble most hunting for her cutie mark!), and Scoot is kinda more like Dashie than most would realize, only more tomboyish.
