Yeah, five seasons and a grand finale sounds good.

I hope though that they continue to use this setting. A G 4.5 would probably be a lot better this time around.

We have so many BG ponies to push into the limelight that spinoffs would be a better choice than going straight to G5 :V

Between the other members of the Apple Family to Octavia and her band and DJ Pon-3 and Lyra and Bon Bon and Babs, there's no end of other characters to flesh out and push into the limelight :D

Y'know, Ace is right. See if the show actually started to gradually expand out into the lives of other ponies, it could go on longer. Right now, episodes feature the mane six, Spike and/or the Crusaders. They could add one or more groups to that list. The character driven episodes are the best ones anyway.

This is why I think a group of recurring antagonists to the mane six would work so well. They too could have adventures (there's tropes for this I think) and show that even dysfunctional jerks can learn lessons. They could even have to do Friendship Reports as a sort of 'community service' for being bad!

Possibilities I'd love to see:

• Luna gets her own Faithful Student :3 Friendship Letters from somepony else for a change!
• Daring Do mini-series!

A Trixie-centric spin off. Seriously, I bet even people who aren't even fans of her would probably watch if it had the same quality of writing as the rest of the show.

But seriously, if we got a G 4.5 I'd probably want it to be something centered on a side character in another location in Equestria. Oooh, maybe it could be based on the Manehattan CMC branch and their families or something. I really would like to have a cast with a different sort of setup. Like maybe you'd have Babs, two others, and their families as the primary cast. Preferably one with continuity, so you could actually have them get cutie marks and develop that way.

The Manhatten branch of the CMC (have one of them as a boy, just because) with New Yawk accents. It would be awesome!

Y'know...what if the CMC turned their group into like a sort of scouts club when they grew up? One that hosts activities to help guide a young pony looking for their CM in the right direction?

That would indeed be quite interesting. I could definitely see one of them being like a therapist or something.

Well, it's just romur so far, but look like we might be getting a Flutterhsy ep.

Rumor is one of the unnamed episodes it titled "Keep Calm and Flutter On."

That title makes it sound like Dragonshy 2.0 :V

Assuming a two part finale this means Rarity isn't getting an episode this series, right?

though bad news, sort of. If the source is right, then after the new ep this weekend, we have a two week break before another new one.

Still three unnamed episodes, so room for a Rarity ep and a two part finale. Though the way the staff was talking sounded like only one two parter this season

I'd also point out that any title that isn't Exactly What It Says on the Tin tend to be puns that aren't exactly informative about the content of the episode. If I had to hazard a guess, it might be more about Fluttershy's nerves than her shyness.

@ badwolfwho Not really , there are currently 4 unknown episodes this season. (The Out of Order 8, 11, 12 and 13) so we could still have an epic two-parter as well as an episode for Fluttershy and Rarity.

It isn't confirmed, but most people are assuming it after we got a 2 part finale last season.
