@ Apple's boar drawing: He could stand to look a lot more savage, in my opinion. Lots of big muscles, maybe a few facial piercings, lots of fur sticking up in like little mohawks and stuff. Also, sorry about your Rainbow Dash thing, I was basically agreeing with your assumption that it looked creepy XD

What is the SPICE thing?

RAISE THIS BARN, RAISE THIS BARN, ONE TWO THREE FOUR!

I got to see the youtube video. This was a good ep, not one of the best. If Applejack noticed that she prevented the family from getting to know each other because the worked too hard, ... why did she appear to solve the problem by....... having them work hard? They're not social when they're sewing, or doing a race, or making apple fritters, but they ARE social when building a whole barn??? Just seems counterintuitive to me.

Because she was having them do it all so fast that she wasn't giving them time to have fun doing it, which was the entire point of the reunion. No one was getting to talk to each other or spend time together, Applejack was all "GO GO GO YA'LL GOTTA DO EVERYTHING".

Also, Apple, Here's an example of how Warhammer Orks would be like.

[up][up]I think it was more she was forcing them into 'fun' activities where they couldn't really socialize or bond, working on the barn seems to be something they can all relate to. I admit the Aesop seemed a bit lost since the plot seemed kind of underwelming in execution. AJ's tasks never seemed to be really hindering the family that much, just bugging them slightly. Even Apple Bloom is still getting to chat with Babs throughout the whole thing despite her complaints.

And since the Apple Family are (mostly) country folk, I reckon a good old fashioned barn-raising is a family bonding event.

I just had some Fridge Brilliance. I was wondering how they got the barn raised when they were just singing half the time, but in TMPP, they raised the barn with like four ponies, so there was obviously a large margin for them to just sing and dance.

The trick now will be getting the balance right between the Orc and the Ork levels of tech.

BTW are there any new thoughts on King Sombra? (or rather whether or not his horn will be a Chekov's Gun )?

Nope, that's not Filthy. I mean Mr. Rich. Whatever the name, that's not him.

[up]Fairly unlikely they'll go anywhere with it, but it could still be in play.

So, I just now saw a picture on Derpibooru that highlighted the fact that Bon Bon, Carrot Top, and Cloudkicker were also at the reunion for some reason.

Carrot Top at least seems to be their neighbor, so maybe she was just stopping by to see why the barn exploded again. Cloudchaser could be there for the same reason, maybe she was just flying by. Bon Bon was, um... Drunk?

That or they were just party crashing. "Oh me? I'm, uh, Apple Turnover's second cousin by marriage. Yeah."
