and that the Keyhole could only be shined on at the end of Durin's Day.
Actually I think that part was left in.
How about Twilight handing Spike a hip flask, saying "You'll bloody need it."
Whenever I hear hip flask, I think CONSTANT VIGILANCE
Ahoy hoy. I keep badly sleeping in, on account of staying up late
Today I didn't wake up until after noon!
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
Hip flasks make me think of grizzled lighthouse keepers.
"There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes."
I want one.
And I am half tempted to just steal stuff from Toys R Us, and when the police stop me, I'll say "WORLD ENDING BLUAGH!"
Christmas sorted.

Death is only your FIRST destination today.
I wonder where a pony would keep their hipflask. Probably one of the front legs for easy accessibility.

Beer hats are very popular in Equestria.

Oh no, we'll have to wait for the United States to hit midnight before anything goes down. The mayans predicted to US standard time, you see. For relevancy.
I can picture Pinkie with a beer hat.

Don't give Pinkie beer. Never give Pinkie beer.

Twilight could actually probably benefit from getting drunk once in awhile. She'd lighten up a bit, but she'd still probably keep herself from going too crazy.
Drunk Twilight would probably start wasting her time trying to develop utterly useless and pointless spells. Like she'd wake up the next morning surrounded in diagrams explaining how to cause a tree to sprout eggs or something.
Back from training. Miss anything?
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.
