I stand by believing The Hobbit is the manliest movie I've seen in a long time. There are beards, fighting monsters in the out doors, big meals, and no sappy romance, and best of all...it has ponies.
I think one of the ponies was even named Minty. I'd have to see it again to be sure.

Well this isn't off topic.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

The Hobbit indulges my inner nerd so much, even in the parts that weren't originally in the book to begin with. They actually go as far as to incorporate stuff from The Silmarillion at times.
Not to mention that Radagast the Brown is totally Fluttershy, but with somehow worse social skills.

I think Raddagast the Brown is one of the parts that got left out of the animated movie.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

Radagast the Brown didn't even appear in the book of The Hobbit, IIRC. He "appeared" The Lord of the Rings in a flashback scene narrated by Gandalf, and he's mentioned in the backstory to The Hobbit from the LOTR appendices.

I never read the books (I'm bad, bad nerd), but from what I understand Raddagast was only mentioned in The Hobbit and had a minor role in The Lord of the Rings (which was cut out of the movies). Basically, he's an Ascended Extra in the new movie.
Now I'm imagining Fluttershy with bird poop on her hair/face, never batting an eye about it.

Radagast can fight well without needing to hulk out. I also can't ever imagine Flutters running around gibbering like a squirrel.

....Look, its been, like, five years since the last time I've played Majora's Mask. More or less. I'm delegating the world saving to other people for a reason!
Its also late. I leave you all with a completely unrelated but still related pony picture
