Yeah, Spitfire wasn't OOC at all, in no small part because before this episode her "character" was based off of maybe half a dozen lines. I'm definitely a bigger fan of her after this episode. Really, as far as Rainbow Dash episodes go, this is one of my favorites; I'm not sure it toppled Hurricane Fluttershy yet, but it's up there.

People complained about Spitfire being jerk in Hurricane Flutershy, I think same complain now. Ignoring that Spitfire acted in both episodes in way she should act.

I admit I allways liked Spitfire but now I like her even more, and she was best part of episode. I wonder how many fanarts and fanfic this will spawn. (I hope she will be presented somewhere as pony version of Colonel Mc Quin from Space: Above and Beyond)

There's a difference between minor cast members and background characters. They're probably not going to get much characterization.

So I'm glad most people seem to have liked the episode. I think it's my favorite of the series. Gonna have to watch it again soon to see.

Actually, I found it mediocre. I'd rate it below all or most of season 3 so far.

Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

The Apploosans are the last group I'd care to see again.

But yeah, I'd love to see more of Fancy Pants, Hoity Toity, Photo Finish, the Mayor, Cheerilee, Twist, Twilight's Parent, Rarity's Parents, the Oranges, etc.
