Okay now I've seen it,
all the way through and I'll say this.
Williams really did do the impossible, ...even if Soarin' failed to make an appearence.
Lightning Dust was a pretty good character, I don't know what people are talking about when they say she was just "shallow" or "I couldn't tell until the end", ...I thought it was a good slippery slope jumper.
The Pinkie Pie subplot was
creepy though. There's Pinkie/Dashie
Les Yay, ....and then there's
this episode.
Rainbow Dash was good character this episode, ...although not as good as
last episode. Still, showing the balanced, sane, compassionate side of RD was good, ....really like the
Big "NO!" in there. But it also showed how tempted she was to become like Lightning Dust.
Williams actually wrote a better episode than Larson or Morrow this time around.
Overall it's better than "The Magic Duel" and "One Bad Apple", but it can't compete with "The Crystal Empire", let alone "Too Many Pinkie Pies" or the preceding episode.
Final Grade: B+
