Something I just noticed about "Sleepless in Ponyville". In the scene right after the waterfall rescue, where Scootaloo confesses her fear to Rainbow Dash, she's wearing her scooter helmet at the beginning, then she takes the helmet off as she finishes confessing and waits for Dash's reply. So, Scoots makes herself physically vulnerable just as she makes herself emotionally vulnerable.

It's a nice little visual metaphor.

That would be running a punchline into the ground.
