Show canon trumps card canon. Not sure where commentary falls on that spectrum though.

I nearly said, "That Luna picture is going to haunt my sleep, " without thinking about it.
Insert something witty that makes me better than all of you, here.

I have a screencap where Luna isn't winking, but I think she looks rather...voyeuristic.

Then, there's a screencap where she's grinning, which is just creepy. [lol]

Besides, it was my first time playing D&D, and I had no idea druids were so overpowered.

Actually, Druids are one of the least powerful Tier 1 classes. They have the highest power floor, meaning it's near impossible to screw up your build. On the other hand, they also have the lowest power ceiling. Wizards, on the other hand are more poewrful if you know waht you're doing, but they're also possible to mess up completely. They also get a lot more benefit from noncore materials.

I think commentary should trump cards unless they're clearly joking.

[up]Of course, "least powerful tier 1 class" just means that instead of being able to blow up the world with just their pinky finger, they have to use two other fingers.[lol]

And yeah, it's easy to mess up a wizard. I actually built the guy as the type of mage who flings lightning and fireballs everywhere, thinking it would be killing things dead. Oh how wrong I was.

really, it's all the utility stuff that makes wizards so great, which is kind of a surprise if you're used to computer rpgs based on D&D.

Take Enlarge Person for instance. In a computer game, you get some measly damage bonuses in exchange for a hit to AC.

but in tabletop? the possibilities are endless.

@Applelight: My version of earth ponies can learn to sense the magic (and other stuff) within the earth, draw strength from the earth, earth bend, control gravity, manipulate plants, anchor themselves to the ground, stand firm, harden their bodies and manipulate space.

EDIT:[up]One of the reasons I prefer tabletop to computer. You can use he spells in any logical way you want. Not that cmputer isn't fun as well.

I remember a session I played in which our Barbarian was allowed to be a Large person by the DM to begin with. Our wizard had Enlarge Person and would often use it to drop the Barbarian on top of things from a jumping attack.

I think EPs would be the race best suited for terraforming. High physical strength, unique affinity for plant life, that sort of thing. (Also, for some reason I can see an EP war tactic where a huge army marches in unison to create an earthquake.)

@Red: Um. That shoudn't actually work. There aren't any large humanoids. Fr precisely that reason. There are large monstrous humanoids and giants, but Enlarge person doesn't work on them. You'd need Enlarge monster which is a higher level spell.

Not that the idea isn't cool.

I bet if you posted that on the right forums, they'd respond with 10 ways to do it at level 1.
